NG-TEST® Vet Direct CRE is a ready-to-use kit comprising a sample preparation device (DirecTool) and a rapid test in cassette format (CARBA-5) designed for the detection and differentiation of the five most common carbapenemase families.

WORKFLOW
The NG-TEST® Vet Direct CRE is a rapid multiplex immunoassay for the detection of one or more of the five common types of carbapenemase enzymes (KPC (K), OXA-48-like (O), IMP (I), VIM (V), NDM (N)) in Enterobacterales and Pseudomonas aeruginosa extracted directly from urine sample.
Due to the increase in the percentage of infections caused by Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) bacteria, more information is needed about the expressed mechanisms of resistance to help guide the optimal antibiotic treatment and to manage infected patients appropriately.
